1 :) D1 Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia
2 :) D3 Astro Boy - I almost went with Ghost in the Shell, but remembered hearing about the story of Astro Boy. I almost called him Atom Boy.
3 :) D1 Verizon - I remember this happening, and thinking that Verizon was a pretty lame name.
4 :) D2 Scaramouche - Thunderbolts and lightning
5 :) D2 Patriots Day - In Boston we also have a holiday called Evacuation Day on March 17, so government employees and students can have the day off for St. Patrick's Day.
6 :) D0 Funicular - I had a conversation about funiculars last night!
