4/6. No real chance on the others. I think today is the first day I've given the same defense to both opponents. 

1. Canton :), D11. Clever clue. It took me a couple of minutes to think about what Thorsten  was talking about, but then it was easy. 

2. International Space Station :), D11. Gimme. Keep the satellite questions coming! 

3. Tamale :), D00. Gimme. 

4. Charlotte Doyle :(, D33. Way off here. I thought this was that young adult book by Avi (and then struggled mightily to remember the character's name). I'm a bit worried this is easier (for others) than I realized. 

5. Ciceroan :(, D22. Nope. 

6. Tammany Hall :), D22. NYC gimme. I don't think Ben is likely to miss this, but the first three seem even easier.

Brian I Day 17 vs FriedlandMJ

4/6 on what I thought was the hardest day yet, no gimmes. I feel very fulfilled.  

1) Floyd.  No idea, I think Floyd was Armstrong's teammate, I threw him in.  Should be tough, who followed cycling in the 80's? D2/3

2) Heidi.  Thought I had no shot at this, then pulled it from the same forgotten place in my brain that I found the Torchsong Trilogy.  But I think this is what Wasserstein is famous for, so D1/0

3) Canada. This is emblematic of my .326 geography score and I'm sure was a gimme for most.  I only considered Japan and Canada, thought the Indonesian islands were too small. Are those northern parts of Canada even islands? ugh.  0/2 (P.S. Glad to see at least two of you considered Canada, I feel better.)

4) Magnum Force.  At first glance, a gimme.  Unfortunately, I've never seen the Dirty Harry movies, and the three easier ones were listed.  Took some time for this to come to me. 2/2

5) Paprika.  I had no idea, and wrote in paprika as a wild guess, thinking of my friend Rachel, who loved to do this When Harry Met Sally impression, not realizing the answer is in the quote:

Sally Albright: Pepper.
Harry Burns: Pepper.

6)Sing, Electric.  Thank you to Rush, who has a song titled The Body Electric.   Not a gimme, as the line from the poem is not in the lyrics, but I got there eventually. 3/1  (Ben, as the words 'body electric' are not in this song, you must be a Lana del Rey fan, as I googled for the Rush lyrics and came up with her song Body Electric.)

3/6. Guess it comes down to defense. Though somehow my 1/6 got me a tie yesterday!

1. :( Well, I knew enough to know it wasn't Lance Armstrong. And I have heard of Greg Lemond. But I really did think Michael Bikerson was right. Think others will know this, and from the blog, it seems they do.  1/1

2. :( It troubles me that I didn't get this. I have heard of the Heidi Chronicles (though I find it odd that he used the verb chronicles in the question). Wendy's niece Pam went to law school with me. Her father was Bruce. I don't think a lot of people will get this. 3/3

3. :) Was torn b/w Canada and Indonesia. I feel like Canada has a lot of islands up at the top, but I also know things look bigger up there than they really are. And Indonesia's closer to equator, so things look smaller there. Is any of that right? Then I thought about the fact that one (?) of the big Indonesian Islands is split with other countries and when I looked back at how the question is worded (i.e., "contain territory that is part...(emphasis added)) I felt confident in my answer.  EASY ONE! 0/0

4. :( Dirty Harry had Clint Eastwood in it. Dead Pool is a recent movie with Ryan something, but maybe there's an older movie with Clint Eastwood and a "The" in front of it. I put Gran Turino. Had no clue.  2/2

5.  :) Paprika. That's it. Just paprika. Maybe this should have been 0/0.  I did 1/1.
