Solid 5/6 to bounce back from yesterday. Better than I thought I did. 

1. Esperanto :), D12. Didn’t feel confident here (and didn’t know the inventor was a physician), but the translations and timing seemed right. 
2. Capacitance :), D01. Gimme and, I suspect, easy for Brian.

4. Rams :), D22. Ultra gimme. I’m sure Brian will know to give me D0 here. 
5. Elysium :(, D23. Not really sure what I was thinking with this terrible guess, but I can console myself by knowing that I had zero chance. 
6. De Niro, Pesci :), D30. Boom! I am proud of myself for recognizing these as Scorsese movies and getting both actors. I thought I might be way off and also thought that even if I was on the right track it might have been Liotta instead of Pesci.

 1) Albion 2/2  I first heard of this in the comic book The Authority, when bad guys invaded from an alternate reality known as Sliding Albion.  It stuck with me though I think I've only heard it mentioned once since then.

2) The Outsiders 0/1  Feels like the gimme du jour, though I hate my defense given my opponents are weak in theatre and/or film

3) Shaggy 3/3  I'm glad I was able to name even one reggae-ish artist from somewhere near that timeframe

4) Rosetta 1/1  A gimme if you know the background of the Stone, otherwise not so easy

 If you stop reading after the first three letters of the answer to the last question, i have a six pack.  But I'm pretty happy with a 5.   And I did get credit for Hokkaidu yesterday, which got me a tie on defense, which was nice.

1) showrunner 0/0   I'm going to take this opportunity to highly recommend to the four of you that you watch Shrinking, on Apple TV.  While my friend Neil Goldman is not the showrunner, he is an executive producer and lead writer.  

2) Temu 1/2  Never heard of it until the Super Bowl commercial, now I can't avoid its ads online

3) Marathon 2/2   Was annoyed we were getting two ancient history questions in the same week that I had no idea about, until I clued in on the "roughly 25 miles" hint.  

4) Kung Fu Panda 1/1  Never seen the movies, but seemed like a good guess, and Pablo Sandoval was on my fantasy baseball team for a few years

5) The Gambia 2/1  Gimme, if you drilled  yourself on Name that Country-Africa  on Sporcle when you first joined Learned League

6) Poutine 3/3  Is this KFC?  So frustrating.  I actually noted how PFK reminded me of KFC, and didn't pursue it any further.  Wonder if fellow French student Seif puzzled this one out. (Felicitations, Dave!)
