Re: Debbie Day 13

Should have had another 4, but I changed one right answer. Grr!  My string of 4s has put me into 1st place the latest into a season that I can recall!  Who knows if it will stay that way (I've probably jinxed it by acknowledging it). Happy weekend!

1) Royal hip hop :( never heard of this, thought maybe something with "king"

2) scapegoat :) had maybe heard this before but forgot. Fun to learn etymology of words like this...

3) Smog :) I mean, I live in LA

4) the Rights of Man :( blurgh. Had right answer then questioned myself and changed it.

5) open sesame :( yeah have never heard Swordfish as a password. My guess is only like baby boomers and older will know this?

6) logarithmic :) if it's a math question and I get it right, you know it's not that hard

3/6 and no chance for more.  Given your answers, my defense is going to cost me.

1) Formosa rap 2/3  I considered that C-Pop meant Cantonese and not Chinese, so the answer would be M Pop for Mandarin, but never would have come up with the answer

2) scapegoat 1/1  I somehow didn't know the source of the word, but it was obvious

3) Smog 0/1  I actually do know the origin of this one

4) Slavery 3/2  no idea

5) abracadabra 1/2  Have never heard swordfish used as a password though I assume that's where the Hugh Jackman/Halle Berry movie got its name

6) logarithmic 2/0   Everyone can use their incorrect answers from Day 1

Dave M day 14 v Pelc LLL

4/6 today, same correct ones as Jesse and David S. Same wrong guess for question 1, and I guessed 1234 for the password. Don't think I'll beat either of my opponents on what seems like a relatively simple set of questions for the day.

Jesse's Addendum

David and I had same answers, both right and wrong. Nice.
