Dave S, I take back all the nice things I said about Avalon B.  I've lost three days in a row with 4/6. Hoping my 5 today breaks the cycle

1) Astrodome 2/2    I didn't think it was still standing, but 1965 made sense for the Astros, and I couldn't think of any other iconic stadiums/arenas built then

2) Philadelphia 3/3  no clue

3) Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan 0/1  Very funny, my new favorite question of the season. 

4) Nirvana 1/1   I started singing the song in my head as soon as I saw the title

5) Orinoco 2/2   Thank you Enya.  (Dave M, I'm glad someone had the same way in I did.)  Surprised to get this, it's the only South American river I know besides the Amazon (which I know is much bigger than 1700 miles).  Sail away, sail away, sail away

6) Arizona 1/0    Was torn between Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma, I guess I didn't need to spend so much time deciding.

1 : ) Astrodome. I knew it was built in the mid-60s. A friend of mine's mom was a cheerleader for that "Battle of the Sexes" tennis match that Billie Jean King played there in the 1970s. D00

1. Astrodome :), D20. Super satisfying get. I really thought this had been demolished, but everything else seemed to work, and I wasn’t sure it wasn’t still standing. Glad I went with it. 
2. London :(, D32. Nope!
3. Monty Python and the Holy Grail :(, D03. Didn’t even consider this. I thought comedy and didn’t even consider anything else. But bottom line is I had no idea. 
4. Nirvana :), D11. Rare pop music question where I was pretty confident. I certainly know the song. 
5. Orinoco :), D22. The key was figuring out that this had to run through Venezuela despite the Guiana “anti-clue.”
6. Arizona :), D11. Gimme for me. I could have named all 3.

Day 7 4/6 didn't get dua lipa or ergonomics altho I thought about ergonomics and dismissed it oh well..

Day 8 5/6 happy today cos had 3 guesses and the were all correct

1) Astrodome bit of a guess but I knew what the Roman stadiums looks like 1.

2) Paris I knew this one can't remember what from 2

3) pass although it was easy when I saw the answer ! 3 probably gave away too many points

4) Nirvana, gimme 0

5) Orinoco a bit of a guess but I'm couldn't think of any other South American rivers after the Amazon

6) New Mexico a guess but it's "New" so thought that made it a better guess than most
