Glad I was in good company for this being a tough day, with 1/6
1 :( Risky Business. Knew this probably wasn't right, but forgot about Color of Money, which I've heard of but never seen (and love that Clapton song from it, "Its in the way that you use it" even if he is apparently a racist?). Also knew it was around the time of Top Gun but knew it wasn't that, or All the Right Moves, and knew it was too early for Interview with a Vampire which could have fit with the clue
2 :( Mr. Peanut. At first considered Jell-o which seemed 50s ish and maybe fit with something moving around? Then got closer, but still no cigar, with Mr. Peanut. Don't actually remember the Jif controversy but maybe my subconscious made that peanut connection?
3 :( Radium. Can't you get irradiated by the sun? Maybe?
4 :( Crucifixion. Was at first thinking a person but had to be a what not a who, so was thinking of things... impressed by the use of Hebrew to figure this out.
5 :( Webster. I know it's a hall
6 :) Carson McCullers. Happy to be the only one so far to get this! Never read the book but associate the name with Heart is a Lonely Hunter
