5/6. Good start. Last season was my lowest qpct in years, so hoping to bounce back this season. 

1. Telephones :), D11. I bet I would have missed this if I were just a couple years younger. But I still remember Trimline as a style. 
2. Meloni :), D20. Gimme for me. 
3. Boston :(, D13. Correctly guessed that this was a TV bar, but incorrectly thought it was Cheers. 
4. Pinyan :), D32. Spelled it wrong, but pulled this from somewhere. Not sure exactly where to be honest. 
5. Venus fly trap :), D22. Fantastic question and classic Thorsten. I was all over the place on this until I focused on the Aphrodite clue. 
6. Harp :), D01. Easiest of the day, I think. I know the story.

Thanks, Brian (and congrats)!  And a decent 4 to wrap up the season for me... Had my ups (great start) and downs (way down) but now worked my way back up to 6ish in D.  I'll take it!  Happy offseason (and easy fast to those observing)!

A whimper of a 2/6 to leave this season and mid-table mediocrity. Congrats on the double Brian.

 

Seif takes it pretty easily with his 4/6 in our end-of-season LLL matchup.

 

1 : ( Acadia. Dixie makes a lot more sense if only I had thought of it! D12

2 : ( My Fair Lady. I was confident this was correct. Never heard of Our Town. D21

3 : ( Flint. Now I see this it makes sense! D00

4 : ) Lightyear. It seems to go well with Goodyear. D22

5 : ) Blue. I do like a blue cheese and I know of Shropshire Blue. D11

6 : ( Grace. I think I knew this, having seen the answer. D33

 I certainly fared better at the end of the season than the $@!% Mets.  I was only confident of one answer today, but my 5 guesses, 3 educated and 2 wild, all hit for a final day 6/6.  That should clinch Sierra D and LLL for me.  And that's how you win the division and don't disappoint your fans, Mets!!!  

1) Dixie 2/2  10 in French is dix, but I thought there was a good chance Dixie came from Mason-Dixon

2) Our Town 0/1  The only answer I was sure of today was literature, unusual for me, but the Stage Manager brought me directly to 10th grade english class and the correct answer

3) Pyrite 3/3  Took me a while to get to this, and wasn't sure I hadn't made up the word

4) Lightyear 2/2 The first name to come to mind, reminded me of Goodyear, I though why not, i have no chance anyway

5) Blue 1/0  Complete guess that these were stinky blues

6) The caged bird 1/1  I know why I guessed the right answer, but I had no idea that's where the phrase came from

I just assumed I wasn't going to get this so went with the rhyme. This feels so gettable if I had just thought a bit harder. 

David S Day 25 vs. Dave M (LLL)

 A pleasantly surprising 4/6 to end the season. 

1. Dixie :), D20. I feel like I should have gotten this more quickly, but it took me a long time. I finally thought of the French word for ten, and then it came to me right away. 
2. Our Town :), D13. Shocked this is right. I saw this play in high school and remembered that there was a character called the stage manager. But I really didn’t think this was right. 
3. Pyrite :), D31. This came to me right away. Not sure it will play that easy. 
4. Woody :(, D22. I had no idea. 
5. Blue :), D21. I’ve heard of some of these. Also, it seems gettable either way since it’s hard to think of another word that could possibly work. 
6. Working woman :(, D02. Seems like something I should have known even if this isn’t a category that’s a strength of mine.
