1) norse 2/2 no idea

2) Tanzania 1/2  Batavia rang a bell but I couldn't place it.  Sounded either German or Dutch, I guessed German. And I obviously know nothing about the timing of Tanzania's independence.

3) Van Allen 3/1 I'm sure you all learned this as I did: in the comic book Alpha Flight #10 from 1984, Sasquatch defeated the Super Skrull by beaming him into the Van Allen belts.  

4) Geodesic 0/0  Was having a very tough time with this until i realized 'dome' was a big hint

5) Skyfall 1/1  The last Bond movie I saw

6) English Channel 2/3  no idea

2. Indonesia :), D00. I knew the old name for Jakarta was Batavia. That was all I had to go by here. 
3. Kuiper :(, D22. Bad miss. Not sure what I was thinking here. 
4. Geodesic :), D33. Happy to get this. It was a low-confidence guess. I’d heard the word associated with domes but didn’t really know what it meant. 
5. Goldeneye :(, D22. I thought there was maybe a 10% chance this was right. 
6. North Sea :(, D11. I knew Jane Eyre takes place in England, which was the basis for this guess. One small qualm with this question: does this really count as a “body of water”? It’s part do the Atlantic Ocean.
