Brian day 13 vs Brad

2/6 Is television the new math? No tv questions yet, there are at least 8 per season, hopefully when they come it’ll get me out of the rut I’m in, I’m falling fast in the standings. Brad takes it 3(2)-2(2)

1) colony 2/2 of course lichen, just couldn’t  the get there

2) united 93 1/1

3) Quattro 2/2

4) snoop dogg 0/0 might have gone w/Tupac if I hadn’t just learned he was from Baltimore in the book The Nineties

5)  cannabis 3/3 wow funny clue. I have no memory of this and I’ve gotten a few Odyssey questions right in the past

6) panhandle 1/1 had to be

2/6 vs brian

3) balustrade d2/1

4) notorious big d0/0
was very confident of this too, timing roughly lined up and 'straight out of compton'

5) thyme d1/2
no idea

6) panhandle d2/2
wasnt sure of the where these were, but didnt have a better answer for oklahoma geography

David Day 13

I'm dropping my last initial until Dave M (or Steiny) shows back up on this blog.  I think I'll be waiting a long time...

4/6 today.

1. Lichen :), D02.  Super lucky guess, which has been happening to me all season so far.  I really had no expectation this would be right.

2. Great Fire of London :), D23.  Great question.  I'm guessing this plays hard, but who knows?  Wren designed some buildings following the Great Fire of London, so I figured he might have also designed its memorial.

3. Amphitheater :(, D31.  No clue.  Wish I'd done a D33 here.  I think this is really hard.

4. Snoop Dogg :), D10.  I can't believe I'm now 5/5 on pop music.  But if they keep coming as easy 1990s pop music questions, I think I'll keep getting them.

5. Flagon :(, D22.  No clue here.

6. Panhandle :), D11.  Seemed like it had to be panhandle.  What other famous areas of Oklahoma are there?

Brian Day 12

 3/6

1) Crab Rangoon 0/1  I didn't know it was in Burma, but I do know Dr. Evil had a typical childhood, you know, summers in Rangoon.

2) Spanish Armada 2/2 Didn't think this would be right, but I remember a lack of wind stranding them in some battle.

3) hockey 1/0 I don't care that much about hockey, but I still haven't forgiven them for switching the division names.

4) Undersea mountain 2/2  was between this and volcano

5) Leia Organa  3/3 no clue

6) salsa 1/1

David S Day 12

4/6, with two lucky guesses and one terrible miss.  I'm dealing with (a very mild case of) COVID, so I'll blame the miss on brain fog.

1. Crab Rangoon :), D00.  Some of these recent food questions have become very easy.  This seems to be one of them most likely.  Easy D00.

2. Spanish Armada :), D12.  Didn't get much from the question other than "famous force" and "late 16th century."  Based on that, this seemed like the only guess.

3. Polo :(, D12.  I really wish I could have this one back.  Such a great question, and so gettable.

4. Volcano :), D23.  Straight up lucky guess.

5. Eleanor of Aquitaine :(, D31.  No idea.

6. Tango :), D21.  Another straight up lucky guess.
