Re: Debbie Day 11

Feeling ok about 3/6 today

1 :( the mob. Never heard of this

2 :( 144. nope.

3 :( SUV. why not?

4 :) Fleetwood Mac. I'm a big fan.

5 :) Women's Wear Daily. Glad to get this, was pretty easy.  Never seen it but know the name.

6 :) Carver. Struggled a bit and glad it finally came to me

Brian Day 11 vs. Brad

 4/6

1) Cognioscenti  2/2  Never heard of Camorra

2) 256  1/1  A gallon has 128 oz, so 16^2 =256 made most sense, didn't think there were much more than 2 tbsp/oz.

3) limousine 2/2  Knew it couldn't be as obvious as limo (hearse and golf cart were my other options), but station wagon never crossed my mind. Glad I defended high

4) Fleetwood Mac 3/3  This was my best guess, I know there's a Mick Fleetwood in the band, but was not at all confident.

5) Women's Wear Daily 1/1  I don't know why I'm even aware of its existence, but the two parenthetical (despite)s point directly to it.

6) George Washington Carver 0/0  Early 20th century peanuts = Carver

Just a 2/6 today, questions not really in my wheelhouse and struggled with Defense too.

1 : ) Camorra. YEKIOYD. D11

2 : ( 2046. Out by an order of magnitude. I really do not know my imperial measurements. D22

3 : ) Station Wagon. Gimme for someone who’s lived both in UK and USA(/Oz/NZ). D00

4 : ( Creedence Clearwater Revival. No idea. D33

5 : ( Ladies Wear Monthly. Guessed wrong on both 50/50s at the front and end of the title. D11

6 : ( Planter. Figured maybe the Planter’s Nuts guy. D22

David S Day 11

3/6 and no real shot at the others.

1. Corleone :(, D22.  No idea.  Even though I knew I was wrong, I was thinking maybe the name would ring a bell when I saw it, but I've never heard of the term.

2. 256 :), D33.  I just got this through brute force calculation. D33 because my opponents are both pretty weak in math.

3. Station Wagon :), D11.  Hard to guess this if you don't happen to know it.

4. Jefferson Airplane :(, D20.  I had no idea.

5. Ladies Home Journal :(, D12.  I spent a long time trying to come up with something that had 3 words and fit the question.  Turns out I had no chance.

6. Carver :), D01.  There were many ways to get this from the question.  I think many people will be able to guess it.
