3/6 both days and somehow despite my complaining my get rate has been creeping up and I find myself temporarily in first place in my rundle.
Day 13: Blanked on NYRB, WW84 was a gimme (and a big disappointment after the wonderful first movie), I remembered the radish had a D and a K in the name but the best I could do was an African shirt, Kentucky Bluegrass was my first and best guess, Bissau was a gimme because I drilled myself on African nations via Sporcle when I joined LearnedLeague, and I had no idea about Nicaragua.
Day 14: A 7(3)-5(4) defensive destruction of David as I got my two worst categories correct.
1) Avenue Q 1/1 The only possibility
2) Bastille Part Deux 2/0 Kicking myself. Always check We Didn't Start the Fire when dealing with 1950s and 60s world history.
3) Diesel 2/1 Knew was wrong but had no idea, however I did get sucked into watching Lego recreations of various engine types on Facebook Reels yesterday and I should have gotten this.
4) Karma 3/3 This has been asked before, I knew there was a V in the name, but I had no idea.
5) The Flight of the Bumblebee 0/2 As I delighted in texting Dave this morning as soon as it happened, I was going through my files this morning looking for my birth certificate, came across a folder with my deceased aunt's 50 year old flute sheet music, looked through them, then opened today's LearnedLeague questions. I'll take the 3 points thank you very much.
6) Chicago 1/2 Very lucky guess. I considered cities known for art museums for no good reason, when I got to Chicago I thought, that's the one from Ferris Bueller, they have a few iconic buildings, worth a shot.
