A few things:

Apologies for leaving my name off my "day 2" post (vs. David Seif).

But at least I'm better than our namesake Andy Levinson, who yesterday managed to post "Blog.   Ok.  Add me to the blog please."

Ben-no donut for you yesterday, you got credit for Go Dogs Go. Which availed you nought versus your far superior private rundle opponent, but did give you a 2(1)-1(1) victory in LL77.

Lastly, Pelc, terrific Day 2 write up. Please continue that format. 

Dave M day 2 vs Cebon (regular), Carr (LLL)

A welcome return to playing Cebon after a few seasons where we’ve been in different rundles in regular. Carr in LLL. Bad luck to get two Aussie opponents on the day there’s an Australia question. Ds were the same for both parties.

1 : ( No idea, I went with Succotash. This seems obvious in retrospect. A Poor D2

2 : ) I went with the only Irish dancer I know, thinking it would be wrong as he must be from Ireland. Turns out he’s from Chicago. Risky D3

3 : ) Current events gimme. D0

4 : ) December was also the clue I needed to get this. Was thinking Tasmania for a while but it isn’t a territory. D1

5 : ) In the UK Oxbow Lakes are stereotypically what you learn about in geography class. D1

Day 2

Very happy with 4/6 since I was only confident of one at first glance.  Going up against David Seif, who I'm sure has two if not three gimmes today.  

1) Gumbo.  I know one dish with okra besides fried okra.  Didn't think it could be that obvious, but it was. D1/D1 

2) Flatley.  Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance!  He was a big deal in the early 2000s(?), I probably know his name more from satires than anything else. This isn't up Seif's alley. D2/D3  

3) Cambridge Analytica. Sure to be a gimme for my opponents. D0/D0   

4) Tasmania.  Threw this in as a placeholder and kept thinking about who was royalty in 1643, rather than using December as the clue.  Should be a gimme for anyone but me. D1/D1 

5) Scythe. Really thought I had this. Thought the words 'sharp' and 'cut' were clues.  Oxbow never crossed my mind.  D3/D2 

6) Some Like It Hot.  Started as a wild guess as a comedy from that era. Then realized that men dressed as women would satisfy the 'character playing another character' criteria and felt like I had a shot.   D2/D2

I have not known either of my LLL opponents yet, so defense is hard:

David S Day 2 vs Ingram (LLL)

3/6 again today. Can't complain. Maybe I had an outside shot at one more. 

1. Gumbo :), D0/1. Didn't see what else this could be. D0 in regular because this is by far my opponent's best category. 

2. Smith :(, D2/2. What's a dance lord?

3. Cambridge Analytica :), D1/0. Gimme. 

4. Christmas Island :), D2/2. Should have been a gimme, but I wrote down Norfolk Island before picking up on the December clue. Phew! I would have kicked myself about that all weekend. 

5. Horseshoe bender :(, D3/3. Didn't think so. I very rarely have zero clue on a question related to geography, so I think this is very hard. 

6. The Goodbye Girl :(, D1/1. I feel like maybe I should have gotten this. 1959 should have been a clue that it was a famous Marilyn Monroe movie.
