 I’m shocked to only get 2/6. I thought I had as many as 5. One of those days.

2. Omega :(, D11. Really thought this was right, and it also fit the question. 
3. Puccini :(, D33. No idea. 
4. Jomo :(, D22. Fell right into the trap. This was the first name of the (more famous) preceding president, Jomo Kenyatta. I was sure this was right.
5. Hardware, software :(, D12. Seriously? Aren’t there lots of answers that work here? I still think this should count. Googling ex-post makes me think this should count even more so. One of my least favorite questions ever. 
6. Hickory :), D00. Old Hickory for Jackson. That was my only in, but it was enough.
