I managed 3 on what I thought was an incredibly tough day, interested to see it reasonably high scoring for many here.

 

1 : ( Pelouse. I do not know my French mathematicians. D22

2 : ( Borsh. It sounds nice, and I figured I’d have heard of it, but Bigos is new to me. D12

3 : ) Hamilton. My mother grew up in the NZ Hamilton. D00

4 : ) Subjunctive. Seems like many of us got there the same way – me through high school French. D21

5 : ( Virginia. I didn’t know Illinois had an Institute of Technology. D11

6 : ) Weekend. This must play incredibly hard for not only non Brits but those who aren’t old enough to remember when TV franchises shared a broadcast frequency.
